ABSTRACT

With the growth of the internet and bandwidth, mobile and web applications have taken off to a level that almost every person with a smart phone would have exposure to at least an application daily. Developing an app present its own set of challenges and problems, although there are substantial qualitative studies on different areas of software engineering, much more can be investigated for the challenges mobile app developers face in practice. The goal of this proposal is to gain an understanding of the main factors that make an app successful and to encourage researchers to further explore and conduct empirical studies.
