ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges, affecting businesses and disrupting economic activities across the globe. Government measures to curb the spread of the pandemic and reduce health risks influenced the scope of women's entrepreneurship and the availability of finances. The pandemic crisis increased women's workload, especially those raising their children, since they had to give attention to their families. Supporting women's entrepreneurship by providing them with training and financial access helps keep their business afloat. This research will examine the impacts of COVID-19 on women's entrepreneurship and the economic challenges encountered during the pandemic. The effects of the pandemic showed the vulnerability of women's entrepreneurship. However, access to finance provides more opportunities that will pivot and help women's entrepreneurship adapt and re-purpose their businesses in the short and long-term.
