The novel empirical evidence from the first Brazilian survey about it suggests that lab-firm cooperation with firms based in Brazil increase activity on research, technological development and technological services; lab-firm cooperation with firms based abroad increase research activity and technological development. Our finds are quite important for innovation public policy, firms and lab cooperation for R&D and innovation particularly. Although laboratory infrastructure is a key point in many countries innovation strategic agenda, USA, Canada, and Brazil in particular, evidence about laboratory infrastructure impact on R&D and innovation is very scarcity.
