ABSTRACT
This paper focus is labs and firms cooperation for science, technology and innovation impacts on Brazilian laboratory infrastructure use. The novel empirical evidence from the first Brazilian survey about it suggests that lab-firm cooperation with firms based in Brazil increase activity on research, technological development and technological services; lab-firm cooperation with firms based abroad increase research activity and technological development. Our finds are quite important for innovation public policy, firms and lab cooperation for R&D and innovation particularly. Although laboratory infrastructure is a key point in many countries innovation strategic agenda, USA, Canada, and Brazil in particular, evidence about laboratory infrastructure impact on R&D and innovation is very scarcity.
