The researcher in this study a survey which included a set of questions to help us define and understand how companies in Lebanon implement CSR in to their marketing practices. Note that from the 147 surveys distributed only 84 were filled and collected. Most of the firms have low number of employees. Two thirds of the sample believe that CSR should be implemented in factories. Half of the sample believe in CSR as equivalent for Sponsorships while more than three quarters believe that CSR includes protecting the environment. One quarter believes that CSR is relevant for manufacturing industries rather that service and three quarters believe that CSR is bout customer satisfaction. Almost all of respondents believe that CSR is about Employee health and safety.
Close to 90 percent believe that CSR is about Community development. Three quarters believe that CSR is about Human rights and less than three quarters believe that CSR is about Supplier relation. Less than three quarters believe that CSR is about Alliances with NGOs but more than three quarters believe that CSR is about Corporate governance and ethics. Finally, in response to How do you put CSR practices in to your company? 40 per cent said own project, 21,4% said sponsoring, 21,4% said research 14,3% said own foundation.
