ABSTRACT

This paper tries to examine the relationship among Personality type, Creativity and Project/Problem types. Myers-Briggs type indicator (MBTI) is used to classify personality. Creativity is classified as expected, proactive, contributory and responsive types, and projects/problems are classified as open or closed types. We develop theoretical arguments to suggest that NT (Intuition and Thinking) types of people have expected and proactive creativity and are likely to be assigned to open problems. ST (Sensing and Thinking) people have contributory and responsive creativity and are likely to be assigned to close problems, whereas NF(Intuition and Feeling) types of people have proactive and contributory creativity, and SF (Sensing and Feeling) types of people have expected and responsive creativity and they are suitable for both open and closed type of problems. We plan an empirical study to verify the above theoretical arguments.
