ABSTRACT

This exploratory study was done to identify strategies that small stores may utilize in order to survive the onslaught of online retailers. A review of the literature was conducted and the factors that impact retail competition were identified and discussed. From these, six propositions were generated. A table indicating the likelihood of online retail competition based on the monetary value of the product was developed. Directions for future research are also provided.
